We've
all been out and about and seen them. Large illuminated
signs. Well they are back-lit displays. Backlit Display
Systems are a method of enhancing graphics by lighting
the image from the rear, which then displays the
advertising message more clearly to the public. The
system is commonly seen in airports, shopping centers,
etc. And they are very easy to create using SEAL
products. You can very easily turn an ink jet,
electrostatic or even a photographic image into a
backlit display by following a few simple steps.
The SEAL Backlit Display
Graphics System consists of an optically clear adhesive
with which the graphic is face mounted to a clear
acrylic sheeting before being placed in the display box.
Alternatively, electrostatic prints which have been
sealed for protection from moisture can be mounted to
the display panel.
Materials:
You will need several
items before you get started:
1. You will need a
Display-quality clear acrylic sheet (SEAL Brands does
not make this product)
2. A pressure sensitive
optically clear adhesive like Optimount
or Optimount
UV
3. Ink Jet, Electrostatic or
Photographic print of your choice
Process:
Face Mount an image
to clear acrylic using an optically clear pressure
sensitive adhesive.
Use a SEAL Image
laminator to coat the acrylic.
