Work-flow Management by eWorks

Introduction

eWorks is a workflow management application that manages

  • Account -  (defined as Prospect, Customer, Supplier, Competitor, Auditor or Financier)

  • Product or Service (defined as a product or a collection of products to form a solution or service)

  • Sales – Any activity related to sales and pricing

  • A suggestion box – to improve or modify eWorks as and when required

  • A TBD (Things to Be Done) box where who ever has access to eWorks can enter tasks that needs to be done and

  • A time and call/visits management module that monitors and controls employee’s time, calls and visits from office driver to sales staff.

eWorks is the brainchild of Mr. Mansur Mahmud the General Manager of Colour Byte LLC. It took him more than 9 years to develop this solution.

Through out his career he firmly believes that efficiency and productivity can be achieved and enhanced by the proper and simple implementation of IT (Information Technology) without investing hefty price tag.

Efficiency and productivity should not have an unaffordable investment to implement - as he puts it. Therefore he started working when Apple Computer Inc. introduced ClarisWorks in 1985. In 1995 Claris became an independent company and was renamed as FileMaker Inc.

FileMaker Pro is the core engine behind eWorks. The same people who invented Apple Computer – that set the standard of simplicity and ease of use, invented FileMaker.

FileMaker Pro is now available in many platforms such as Windows and Mac OS systems. It is transparent whether you use in Windows based PCs or Apple Macintoshes.

eWorks is the core workflow management application of Colour Byte LLC. The Sales aspects as an example is described below;

Automates various aspects of pre-sales and post sales activities. Account (defined as a prospect or customer) is entered once an inquiry or sales is generated and is then available on the network to the Sales, Service and Administration departments. Each account is then assigned to an Account Manager. The sales, technical and management staff of Colour Byte LLC then regularly monitors the account as follows:

  • Daily account activity such as visits, calls and queries.

  • Daily Account status, when last called when to call again and what is in progress and what is in pending.

  • Instant account action such as a short quote, short fax or e-mail or go the respective website without exiting eWorks.

  • Once the account makes an order, a sales order form is generated which instantly is available to administration and operations for follow-up of procurement, delivery, installation and payment.

  • A sales report or pending activity reports are generated on a daily or weekly basis

  • Various monthly reports are generated to analyse accounts based on various categories or by designated account managers

  • Account Activity report by categorisation of Hot, Live, Cold and Existing Account, Prospect.

  • Proposal Monitoring through probability of sales.

  • eWorks is an interactive central database and activity centre of Colour Byte and we take great pride in developing and implementing in-house without any external assistance.

  • eWorks is available for implementation to SME (Small to Medium Enterprise) on very selective basis.

  • eWorks is not a commercial off-the-shelf application. It is custom tailored to suite a respective SME.
